This week, our San Benito Greyhound Chorale participated in the annual UIL Concert and Sight-reading Evaluation at the Harlingen Donna HS Simon Saucedo Fine Arts Auditorium. We took a total of 5 choirs, and every single one of these groups came back with a Sweepstakes Trophy, which means that our students received 1st division ratings in both the concert and sight-reading portions of the evaluation. These groups are comprised of students from both SBHS and VMA. Sweepstakes Trophies are the highest honor that Texas music groups can receive at this UIL event, and are a testament to the hard work and dedication that our students and staff demonstrate on a daily basis.
